Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and supportive infusion therapies safely and compassionately
- Assess and monitor oncology patients before, during, and after infusions
- Collaborate closely with oncology providers and the interdisciplinary care team
- Utilize acuity-based staffing tools to prioritize safe staffing and patient needs
- Document patient care thoroughly and communicate changes in condition promptly
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, side-effect management, and safety
Qualifications
- BLS certification — REQUIRED
- Experience in infusion nursing, oncology care, and chemotherapy administration
- IV therapy skills and comfort managing infusion equipment and protocols
- ONS or ANCC oncology certification — PREFERRED
- Strong interdisciplinary communication and teamwork mindset
- Ability to meet regional performance expectations and maintain professional standards

- Chemotherapy safety and administration best practices
- Acuity-based staffing processes and prioritization
- IV therapy techniques and infusion pump management
- Effective communication with oncology providers and multidisciplinary teams
- Patient education and supportive care for oncology populations
