Job Title: Infusion Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Infusion Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years in relevant field License: CA RN Certifications: BLS, OCN Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with adults - Proficiency in dressing changes, interpretation of laboratory results, intramuscular and intravenous infusions, obtaining vital signs, oncology procedures, subcutaneous administration, and venipuncture/phlebotomy Description: The Infusion Center treats patients with various diagnoses. Conditions include iron deficiency anemia, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, osteoporosis, multiple sclerosis, immune deficiencies, chronic infections requiring IV antibiotics, dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, and oncology-related conditions. Services offered include biologic therapies, hydration, immunotherapy, injections, and supportive infusion treatments for acute and chronic illnesses. The unit has a daily census of approximately 18-24 patients and consists of 10 rooms with 10 beds. Interdisciplinary support teams are available, including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. Additional weekend shifts may be required, ranging from 1-2 weekends per month as needed. An average nurse-to-patient ratio of 3 is maintained during the day shift. All candidates must have relevant experience and be prepared to undergo background checks and verification of employment history.
