Candidates with 2 years of experience are preferred, but first-time travelers are welcome. The average daily census is 32 patients with a patient bed capacity of 12. The patient age group includes adults and geriatrics. The patient ratios are 1 nurse to 6 patients. Experience with the medication system and documentation systems is required. Familiarity with specific diagnoses including hematology and oncology is essential. Special procedures in this unit include port accessing and IV placement. Candidates should hold BLS, chemotherapy, and oncology certifications, with OCN preferred. The role supports various patient diagnoses, including asthma, allergy, GI issues, and rheumatology. Daily responsibilities will include patient care and education, administration of treatments, and monitoring for side effects. Qualified applicants should be capable of managing intravenous therapy and providing coordination of care.
