Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Infusion Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 hours Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Experience: 2 years outpatient infusion experience required License: Nursing License Certifications: BLS, chemo/biotherapy card required Must-Have: True chemo infusion experience and ambulatory oncology experience required Description: The role involves administering chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments. The nurse will coordinate care by setting up follow-ups and scheduling labs. Communication with front desk staff and providers is essential. Responsibilities include performing injections and blood transfusions. Therapeutic phlebotomy and education of patients are also required. Symptom management and focused assessments are critical components of the job. The average number of patients served daily ranges from 180 to 200. The environment involves collaboration with approximately 18-22 nurses and 2 nurse practitioners. Clinical technicians are available to assist with placing IVs and drawing blood. Flexibility and creating a great environment for clients are key expectations. Weekend and holiday shifts are required; one major holiday and one minor holiday. The nurse may need to float to other infusion centers if necessary. Epic experience is preferred, and access to the EMR system is necessary.
