Job Title: Quality Assurance Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current license to practice in Arizona as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse Certifications: Infection Preventionist Certification required Must-Have: - DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card required - Valid Driver's License required Description: Schedule is flexible with options of 7 AM - 3 PM, 8 AM - 4 PM, or 8 AM - 5 PM. This position covers QA Nurse/Staff Education and Infection Preventionist roles. Implements policies and procedures pertaining to quality assurance using established guidelines. Gathers and analyzes data through audits, interviews, and other activities to monitor compliance across various departments. Reviews monthly reports and develops performance improvement plans where needed. Prepares and distributes reports, statistical analyses, data summaries, and other written information related to quality assurance activities. Prepares periodic reports summarizing the status of compliance with established goals and measures. Assists supervisors and managers in developing and implementing corrective action plans. Monitors and reports on plans for correcting deficiencies identified by surveying agencies. Ensures compliance with state, federal, and regulatory regulations. Ensures policies and procedures are consistent with practices. Investigates incidents of non-compliance. Works with the Administrator in investigating allegations of abuse, neglect, and mistreatment. Coordinates preparation for surveys. Chairs and coordinates internal Quality Assurance Committee and Infection Control Committee meetings. Identifies training needs and develops educational programs for staff related to quality assurance and compliance. Utilizes assessment and scheduling protocols to evaluate training quality and ensure adequate staff training. Maintains records to document training and compliance with regulations. Coordinates provision of information for regulatory surveyors with relevant leadership. Maps out infections to provide timely tracking and trending. Conducts infection control surveillance daily rounds. Keeps abreast of current information and attends educational opportunities related to the role. Knowledge of management principles and quality assurance principles and methods is required. Skills in verbal and written communication and problem-solving are necessary. The ability to analyze and interpret information and work with all levels of the organization is essential.
