Job Title: Quality Assurance Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current license to practice in Arizona as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse Certifications: Infection Preventionist Certification required Must-Have: DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card required Valid driver's license Description: Schedule is flexible with options available. Shifts are 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday, with varied weekends as needed. This role involves Quality Assurance Nurse, Staff Education, and Infection Preventionist responsibilities. Implement policies and procedures related to quality assurance using established guidelines and regulations. Gather and analyze data through audits and interviews to monitor compliance across all departments and services. Review monthly reports and develop performance improvement plans where necessary. Prepare, distribute, and interpret reports and statistical analyses pertaining to quality assurance activities. Assist in developing and implementing corrective action plans in collaboration with supervisors and managers. Monitor facility plans for correcting deficiencies identified by surveying agencies. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and relevant regulations. Investigate incidents of non-compliance and allegations of abuse, neglect, or mistreatment. Coordinate facility preparation for surveys and chair internal Quality Assurance Committee meetings. Identify training needs and develop educational programs for staff regarding quality assurance and compliance. Utilize assessment protocols to evaluate training quality and ensure staff is adequately trained. Maintain records documenting training and compliance with regulations. Conduct daily rounds for infection control surveillance and ensure adherence to care plans. Stay informed of current developments in the field through educational opportunities. Demonstrate knowledge of management principles, facility policies, quality assurance methods, and relevant regulations. Show proficiency in verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to analyze and interpret data and work effectively with all levels of the organization. Develop and coordinate successful training programs for staff members.
