Job Description:

Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide care for complex ICU patients, including surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases. This role requires strong critical thinking skills, comfort in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Cardiac experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage IV medications including vasopressors, sedation, and paralytics.
• Manage hemodynamic lines and ventilators, and perform proning techniques.
• Work closely with CNA staff, charge nurses, and physicians to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Adhere to protocols and procedures for patient ratios of RN: 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3, acuity dependent.

Requirements:

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications required. Willingness to obtain TNCC prior to arrival.
• Completion of approved nursing education program; current South Dakota RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel experience.
• Previous experience with Epic charting system is required.
