Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 48 guaranteed hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• Float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and MSICU units with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
• No on-call or callback requirements; contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours which can be taken in hour increments as needed
• Care for Neuro ICU patient population including Stroke, TBI, head injury, and Neurosurgery patients
• Primary procedures include Neuro assessments, basic bedside ICU procedures such as line placement and intubation, and Neuro-specific procedures including bolt and drain bedside placements with Neurosurgery
• Familiarity with EVDs and ICP monitoring required
• Experience as Neuro Interventionalist a plus
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with 1 travel assignment preferred; Med/Surg ICU and/or Neuro ICU background with strong Neuro assessment skills required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC), and NIHSS
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
• Scrub colors: any color
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of facility location

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates an 8-bed Neuro ICU unit specializing in the care of complex neurological patients. The unit provides comprehensive critical care services with a focus on stroke, traumatic brain injury, head injury, and neurosurgery patients. The facility offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where critical care nurses work alongside neurosurgery teams to perform advanced bedside procedures and deliver high-acuity patient care.
