Job Requirements

  • Active RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure eligibility
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred at hire and required within 6 months if not already obtained
  • At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
  • Critical care, ICU, stepdown, medical-surgical, or emergency department experience preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to prioritize care in a high-acuity setting
  • Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and an interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Comfort with electronic health record documentation and safe medication administration
  • Additional critical care credentials such as CCRN, PCCN, TNCC, or PALS are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
  • Provide direct nursing care for critically ill patients with complex medical and surgical needs
  • Monitor hemodynamics and manage advanced therapies and life-supporting technologies
  • Administer medications safely and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other members of the care team to coordinate seamless patient care
  • Support patients and families with education, advocacy, and compassionate communication
  • Assist with ICU-related procedures and care for devices such as central lines, chest tubes, and ventilators
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-centered environment while following all policies and best practices
