Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit Medical in Anchorage, Alaska. The position involves providing critical care to a diverse patient population in a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma facility. The role offers an opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment, focusing on patient stabilization and recovery.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Alaska Registered Nurse license in hand, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, 2 years of ICU experience, proficiency in Epic charting system, experience with arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care, and neuro ICU procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma, stroke, or neuro critical care, familiarity with multidisciplinary support services, and advanced certifications such as TNCC.
- Float: Float within scope to meet facility operational needs; may float to similar units if necessary.
- Additional Information: Assignment begins on 08/31/2026, with a duration of 13 weeks. All candidates must be willing to work major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) and must be at least 50 miles from the facility with a valid license in hand or pending approval. The candidate must have at least 2 years' ICU experience, with a minimum of 1 year in critical care settings. References, compliance documentation, and certification verification are required prior to start. Multiple interdisciplinary support services are available onsite, and a 12-hour orientation is provided.
