Job Requirements

  • Active RN license in the state of assignment or compact state eligibility
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
  • Current BLS required; ACLS preferred and required within 6 months of hire if not held at start
  • Dysrhythmia exam required
  • EPIC experience preferred
  • Experience with critical care support devices and therapies such as CRRT, IABP, Impella, EVDs, lumbar drains, Swan-Ganz catheters, vents, trachs, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen preferred
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced ICU environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a mixed MICU/SICU environment
  • Perform detailed assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate response to treatment
  • Administer medications and manage complex drips safely and accurately
  • Monitor hemodynamic status and support patients requiring advanced life-support technologies
  • Assist with the care of patients using ventilators, tracheostomies, CRRT, IABP, Impella, and other critical care modalities
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and support staff to coordinate patient-centered care
  • Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and prioritize interventions appropriately
  • Support patient and family education with compassion and professionalism
