Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in New Mexico will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, multispecialty environment. The role involves working across ICU and Stepdown units, with duties including patient monitoring, responding to clinical emergencies, and collaborating with medical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position offers an opportunity to work in a modern facility with a patient-focused approach.
Job Details:
- Location: 405 W Country Club Road, Roswell, NM 88201
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with every other weekend, floating, and call required
- Required Qualifications: 2 or more years of ICU experience; certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); relevant degree or educational background; valid licensure in New Mexico
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in Stepdown and Medical Surgical (MS) departments; experience with Cerner electronic medical record system; ability to float to stepdown and MS units; scrub color: Royal Blue
- Schedule: Shift Hours: 12 hours, Minimum Hours Per Week: 36
- Additional Information:
- Work includes a mix of ICU and Stepdown patient care with some overflow to Medical Surgical units
- Number of beds in unit: 16, patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:3-4 for stepdown patients
- Call required; rarely needed
- Blocked scheduling and maximum RTO of 1 week may be requested and should be included in the submittal
- Holiday work, including at least one winter holiday, may be expected
- Floating to Stepdown and MS departments is required for coverage and flexibility
