Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a healthcare facility in Norwich, CT. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a dual-level care unit, including telemetry, progressive care, and intensive care services. The role is scheduled for night shifts, with every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Candidates must possess at least two years of ICU experience along with PCU and Epic electronic health record experience.

Job Details

• Location: Norwich, CT
• Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM 7:30 AM), minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in NIHSS, ACLS, BLS; 2+ years ICU experience; experience with PCU and Epic electronic health records; location in Connecticut; valid nursing license in the state of Connecticut
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a dual level of care unit, primary stroke center certification, familiarity with telemetry and respiratory failure cases, and handling complex diagnoses such as strokes, chest pain, sepsis, and respiratory failure
• Additional Information: All submissions should be entered into ShiftWise "Submission Packets." This unit has approximately 25 beds and manages cases including strokes, respiratory failure, sepsis, and chest pain. The patient ratio for ICU is typically 1:2, and for PCU is 1:3, with general floor ratios around 1:5-6.
