Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in Belleville, Illinois. The role involves providing specialized patient care in an acute care hospital setting, primarily during night shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing critically ill adult patients, following established protocols, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license in Illinois or MO (if applicable), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), 2 years of ICU experience, proficient in charting with EPIC system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with continuous IV sedation, CVVHD/CRRT, hypothermia protocols, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), interpretation of dysrhythmias, and open heart procedures.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Additional Information:
  • Night shifts begin on 09/08/2026, with potential for floating within scope to units such as IMCU and ICU.
  • Must assist with line insertion, intubation, and hypothermia protocols; experience with CRRT/CVVHD and IABP preferred.
  • No on-call requirement.
  • No local candidates within 75 miles are accepted.
  • The candidate must be willing to float between ICU and IMCU units and fluids are required to be within scope.
  • Open to accommodating block schedules.
  • Compliance and certification deadlines must be followed as specified by the organization.
