Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Medical in Tyler, Texas. This position involves providing specialized care in a Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit, with a focus on adult and geriatric patient populations. The role requires a dedicated healthcare professional to deliver quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), and PALS; two years of experience preferred; charting experience with Epic electronic medical record system; valid state or compact license in hand at time of submittal; RTO requests to be listed at time of submission; prior traveler experience has a waiting period of one year.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in community hospital settings, LTAC (Long Term Acute Care), trauma levels I and II, and prior travel experience.
- Additional Information: The unit supports adult and geriatric patients with a daily census of approximately 14. The ICU is equipped for advanced procedures including CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy), ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation), and other specialized critical care interventions. Patient ratio is generally 1:2, with staffing supported by interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams.
