This position involves providing high-acuity care in a Level I Trauma ICU, requiring experience with trauma patients and critical care procedures. The ICU team works collaboratively to deliver exceptional patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

  • Schedule: 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); minimum 2 years of ICU experience, trauma Level I experience preferred; experience with Epic charting system; hospital experience preferred; valid state or compact license in hand at time of submittal; must complete core onboarding items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I experience, PALS, TNCC certifications, prior experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, ventilator management, central line care/management, ICP monitoring, arrhythmia interpretation, IV initiation and maintenance, interdisciplinary support skills.
  • Float: ICU, Intermediate Care (IMC), Telemetry as needed
  • Unit Details: 14 rooms, 16 beds, interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy
  • Patient Ratios: 2 patients per nurse during day shifts, 2 during nights, 2 on weekends
  • Travel Experience Required: Yes
  • Additional Notes: Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler. All onboarding modules are completed onsite during orientation, with non-billable hours factored into total hours.
