Traveler RNs - On Call and Weekend Requirements
On call rate for travel RNs:
• On call 2 per month (max 3 per month)
o We have a non-clinical person taking all initial calls 4:30pm- 8:30am, so the RN only receives true clinical issues.
• $7/hour on call rate o Get paid regular hourly rate for any patient phone triage/patient home visits.
• On call is 4:30pm – 8am (sometimes the shift is assigned as 4:30 – 8:30pm or 8:30pm – 8:00am)
o We do not make patient home visits from 8:30pm – 8:00am ? Phone triage only; maybe 1-2 calls from 8:30pm- 10:00pm and rarely a phone call from 10:00pm – 7:00am.
