Job Title: RN HospiceProfession: NursingSpecialty: Home-Hospice Care OperationsDuration: 17 weeksShift: 12hr Day ShiftHours per Shift: 8a-8p (Saturday and Sundays only)Experience: Minimum 2 years, Home Health or Home Hospice experience; First-time travelers accepted with case management experience in the home settingLicense: Active State RN LicenseCertifications: BLS, Active Driver's License, own vehicle, auto insuranceMust-Have: Comfortable performing focused assessments, critically thinking, and investigating patient issues, comfortable administering narcotic pain medications.Description: This is a Home Hospice position requiring visits to patients' homes.The role involves attending to various patient types and common diagnoses such as failure to thrive, advanced cancers, and end-stage diseases.You will respond to after-hours visits that may require in-person attendance for symptom management or urgent issues.Patient ratios for RN are 0-6, depending on call-ins.You will have access to support from a Lead RN available 24/7 and other members of the team via phone.The use of technology includes EMR systems and occasionally an IV pump.You may float slightly outside of the assigned territory if necessary for patient care.The scheduling includes a weekend rotation every other weekend, with holiday expectations of one summer and one winter holiday.The unit culture emphasizes collaboration to ensure timely patient care.
