Job Title: Clinical Nurse I Profession: RN Specialty: Home Health/Hospice Duration: 14 weeks Shift: M - F Hours per Shift: 8:30 am to 5 pm Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of acute clinical nursing experience; clinical home health care experience required. Minimum of two (2) years of acute clinical nursing experience or home health experience for hospice. License: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. Certifications: Current BLS certification required prior to clinical rotation. Must-Have: - Home health care experience - Physical assessments - IV therapy - Patient care - Nursing interventions Description: The Clinical Nurse I role provides direct patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act to assigned patients in the Home Health and/or Hospice setting. The nurse collaborates with other disciplines of the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of safe, timely, and appropriate quality patient care. This includes providing physical assessments, IV, infusion, nursing interventions, pain management, medication administrations, specimen collection, meeting nutritional needs, and teaching and discharge needs of the assigned patients. Utilizes the nursing process based on evidence-based best practices to meet patient care needs. Evaluates and adjusts the nursing care process as necessary, consulting as needed and conferring with the appropriate personnel when making ethical, legal, or medical dilemma decisions. Performs other duties as assigned.
