Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: 2 years of home health experience with high volume case loads License: Active state license required at time of submission Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Recent OASIS experience required Description: Supervisory or higher references due at time of submission. Experience in home health is required with no exceptions for first-time travelers. General travel nursing experience is not accepted. Recent OASIS experience is a must and candidates will be required to take an OASIS exam to be eligible for an interview. Candidates should review the OASIS E11 prior to the exam, focusing on Mobility (G-Section, GG Section, and M18). Weekend shifts are required every four weeks. Territory mileage radius is 5-20 miles with mileage reimbursed per IRS standards. On-call duties are required. Travelers are expected to start shifts on time at 08:00 as stated in their contract. Each day will consist of 5-6 patients. Home health operates on an hourly pay model rather than a per-visit model. Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of patient care, including conditions such as heart failure and diabetes. Wound care management is an important aspect of the role. Candidates will be expected to manage additional tasks such as IV therapy and medication administration. Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills are needed. Travelers must be flexible with scheduling and patient care assignments. No pre-approved time off is allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment. Max time off permitted is 10 days, which must be included at the time of submission. All references must be from recent employment and must be supervisory or higher, no charge RN references are accepted. Candidates must disclose background hits, which will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. All candidates should be prepared to work the entire 8-hour shift unless prior arrangements are made and approved. Successful candidates will need to stand for long periods and may need to climb stairs as part of their duties. Additional skills required include obtaining vital signs, managing infections, and providing patient assessments.
