Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 full year of Adult Home Health Experience or 1 full year of Hospice Experience, depending on the specialty. License: Must have a valid nursing license in hand. Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: Must be proficient in HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) and Oasis. Must have a vehicle, driver's license, and auto insurance. Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic. Description: The Registered Nurse coordinates and directs the provision of home nursing care according to physician orders. This care is based on agency policies and procedures through the competent application of the nursing process. The Registered Nurse is responsible to the Clinical Manager and directly supervises Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses. Daily responsibilities include conducting home visits and attending periodic office meetings. Average patient caseload is 5-10 patients per day. The role encompasses various types of cases including Start of Care, Wound Care, and Follow-up Visits. Documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the patient visit. Must accept all patients on the schedule regardless of distance from previous appointments. Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. All clinicians must be proficient in utilizing the charting systems required for the position. Weekend and on-call requirements may vary per location and profession. Candidates must be open to participating in rotations as needed. This is a fast-paced job that requires effective time management and flexibility.
