Home Health Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 2+ years of Home Health experience required License: Active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Proficient in nursing assessment and OASIS data collection Epic experience required OASIS assessment experience required Description: The Home Health Registered Nurse will deliver personalized care to patients in their homes. The nurse will provide wound care, IV therapy, orthopedic care, chronic disease management, and heart failure monitoring. Experience in conducting admission assessments, case management, discharges, recertifications, transfers, and standard visits is required. Skills in managing peripheral IVs, central lines, phlebotomy, and starting IVs are essential. Candidates must be comfortable with respiratory care, including chest tubes, nebulizers, and oxygen administration. The role involves GI care, such as colostomy/ileostomy care and feeding tube management. Experience in GU care, including urinary catheter insertion and management, is necessary. Medication administration experience, including intradermal, IM, IV infusions, and pain assessment, is required. The nurse will conduct an average of 6 visits per day, covering a radius that may include rural areas. Floating to other offices as needed may be required. No weekend shifts or call responsibilities are expected.
