Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Home Health Duration: 17-week contract with strong potential to convert Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, one Saturday every month Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Home Health RN experience License: Current RN licensure in Michigan Certifications: BLS certification through AHA Must-Have: - Effective communication skills - Strong interpersonal and customer service skills - Ability to lift, carry, transport, and move clients if needed Description: Under general supervision of the nursing supervisor, the Registered Nurse utilizes nursing principles to provide direct patient care in the home. The nurse assesses the need for other allied health care services such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, nutrition, speech pathology, and social work to ensure an integrated home health care delivery system. This role includes performing other related duties as required. The nurse will support the Home Health department with the patient load in designated counties. Candidates should anticipate a caseload of approximately 6 patient visits per day with an average of 40-60 miles driven daily. Required qualifications include current licensure, BLS certification, valid driver's license, and reliable transportation. Preferred qualifications include acute care experience. Candidates must possess a strong ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare personnel from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
