Key Responsibilities of the Travel Home Health Nurse
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes, following care plans and physician orders
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document progress accurately
- Administer medications and perform wound care, catheter care, and other skilled tasks
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and treatment plans
- Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team
- Ensure compliance with home health regulations, documentation, and safety protocols
- Manage a daily schedule of home visits within the assigned region
Requirements of the Travel Home Health Nurse
- Active South Carolina or Compact RN license
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in a Home Health setting
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
