Registered Nurse (RN) – GI Lab / Endoscopy (Travel Opportunity)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced GI Lab / Endoscopy RN to join a high-volume Level II Trauma, tertiary care center in Seattle, WA. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a fast-paced endoscopy unit, supporting both inpatient and outpatient procedures across a diverse patient population.
✅ Required Qualifications
- Active RN License (WA or Compact)
- BLS & ACLS Certifications – Required
- Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy/GI Lab experience
- Experience with moderate sedation and endoscopic procedures
- Strong clinical skills in patient monitoring and procedural support
- Open to first-time travelers
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
- Experience assisting with advanced therapeutic endoscopy procedures
- Strong knowledge of GI disease processes and interventions
️ Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, advanced therapeutic cases)
- Administer and monitor moderate sedation
- Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care and monitoring
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and adherence to infection control protocols
- Educate patients and families on procedures and post-care instructions
- Document all care in compliance with facility standards
- Float within scope to support unit needs
Unit Highlights
- 30% Inpatient / 70% Outpatient / 10% Pediatrics
- Large Endoscopy Department:
- 19 admit/discharge rooms
- 9 procedure rooms (including manometry)
- High-acuity cases with a wide range of complex GI conditions
⏱️ Schedule & Requirements
- 4x10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required within skillset
- RTO Policy: Max 4 days (additional requires approval)

- Candidates from other Providence facilities eligible after 3-month separation
- Compact license accepted at Swedish facilities
