Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the ER Float Pool will provide care to patients in emergency room settings within Zone 4, including Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital, St. Catherine- Dodge City, and St. Catherine- Garden City. The RN is expected to float throughout the zone, handle varying patient loads, and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency care to patients with conditions such as abdominal pain, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension.
• Administer standard ER medications and perform Point of Care lab testing.
• Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 based on acuity.
• Participate in a team-based approach with support from techs and other clinical staff.

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Ability to interpret telemetry without monitor tech support
• Flexibility to float within all ERs in the assigned zone
