Location: Rockford, Illinois
Specialty: Float Pool RN (ICU, Step-Down, Cardiac Telemetry, Med-Surg)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
⏱ Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Join and work across ICU, Step-Down, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke/Neuro, and Medical-Surgical units. This assignment is ideal for experienced critical care nurses with strong cardiac backgrounds who are comfortable floating to multiple inpatient units.
Requirements:
Active Illinois RN License
Minimum 3 years of recent RN experience
Current ICU experience required
Extensive Cardiac/Telemetry experience required
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current BLS (AHA)
Current ACLS (AHA)
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
EPIC EMR experience preferred
Willing to float between ICU, Step-Down, Telemetry, Stroke/Neuro, and Med-Surg units
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality nursing care across multiple inpatient specialties
Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments following hospital policies
Monitor and manage cardiac telemetry patients
Care for ICU and Step-Down patients as assigned
Document accurately in EPIC
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Educate patients and families while promoting quality outcomes
