LanceSoft is seeking a travel nurse RN First Assist for a travel nursing job in Atlanta, Georgia.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our cardiovascular surgical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, and Thoracic surgery and be proficient in assisting with complex surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • RNFA certification required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years of RNFA experience in a surgical setting.
  • Experience using the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Required Experience (Hard Stop)

Candidates must have:

  • Recent experience in Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, and Thoracic surgery.
  • Current CSFA, NBSTSA, or NCCSA certification.

Schedule & Call

  • Shift: Days
  • Weekend: Required only when on call.
  • Call Requirement: One weekday call per week and one weekend approximately every four weeks. Call schedule is subject to change based on departmental needs.

Floating

  • Must be willing to float within the facility, within scope of practice, and to the Main Operating Room (OR) as needed.

Start Date

  • Candidates must successfully complete the privileging process prior to their start date.
  • Estimated privileging timeline: Approximately 3 months.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-acuity surgical environment.
  • Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to patient safety.
