Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience, with more than 1 year in an Outpatient Endo Center. License: Registered Nurse License (California) Certifications: AHA BLS & ACLS Must-Have: - Experience in pre/post procedure and inpatient care. - Ability to float to other facilities. Description: Requires a California Registered Nurse License. AHA BLS & ACLS certifications are mandatory. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with over 1 year in an Outpatient Endoscopy Center required. Experience in pre/post procedure and inpatient care is essential. Candidates must be able to float to other facilities as needed. Trauma Level I/II experience is preferred. Familiarity with charting systems, specifically Epic, is required. Skills required include administering conscious sedation, airway management, and monitoring conscious sedation. Experience in various endoscopic procedures such as EGD, ERCP, and Endoscopic Ultrasound is beneficial. Candidates must be capable of starting and maintaining IVs and handling specimens appropriately. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The daily census includes handling 50-60 cases. Candidates should be comfortable working with interdisciplinary support teams. Teaching hospital experience is required. Floating may occur to different departments or facilities within a reasonable distance. All requests for time off must be disclosed at the time of submission and require manager approval. References from the most recent employer are needed upon submission. Travel pairs are allowed, though they generally will not work on the same unit. Disclosures of any previous employment with the health system are mandatory for rehire eligibility checks.
