Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: GI Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:30 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years GI experience in a hospital setting License: Valid California RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Experience in pre-post and procedural care Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient and family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. The position may require performing other duties as assigned. Candidates must be available for on-call shifts. Rotating weekends are required, with shifts scheduled from 7 AM to 3:30 PM and from 5 PM to 9 PM on weekdays. Travelers must have pre-post and procedural experience. The unit consists of one RN assigned to the procedure room, two RNs for admitting, and two RNs for recovery, along with one Charge RN. The daily census in the unit is approximately 22 patients. Additional support includes Interpretation Services, Lift Teams, and Rapid Response Teams. Candidates are expected to comply with facility dress code policies. All tattoos must be covered, and no visible body piercings other than earrings are permitted. Earrings may not extend beyond the earlobe. Candidates should have experience with conscious sedation and telemetry systems. Previous charge experience is preferred. This role may involve a patient ratio of 1 RN per procedure room. References are required upon application. COVID-19 vaccination status may be requested.
