Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 2+ Years of RN Endoscopy Experience Required License: State License Required Certifications: BLS (AHA) Required Must-Have: 2+ Years of RN Endoscopy Experience Description: The Registered Nurse on our unit cares for a diverse patient population with complex medical conditions. Care includes managing co-morbidities such as infectious diseases and oncology. The environment is fast-paced, providing challenges for both graduate and experienced nurses. This unit is implementing a new staffing model focusing on teamwork in patient care. This model allows nurses more time at the bedside and less time on documentation. Nurses will collaborate with the health care team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans. Assessment includes physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual components based on changing patient needs. There is a strong emphasis on lifelong learning through certification and advanced practice. Nurses are expected to demonstrate leadership by sharing knowledge and being a clinical resource. Effective communication is essential, utilizing collegial relationships and interdisciplinary communication methods. Time management skills are crucial for enhancing overall team performance. Nurses may perform additional duties consistent with job objectives as directed. A strict attendance policy is in place, advocating for the patient population. Absences or tardiness exceeding 20 minutes three times may lead to immediate termination. Supportive evidence will be reviewed for exceptional situations such as hospitalization.
