Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 2 years of recent experience in recovering sedated GI and pulmonary procedures License: Active RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CGRN* Must-Have: Must be able to perform Moderate Sedation during procedures. Experience in pre/post all levels of care including PACU/Phase I and Phase II recovery. Utilization of an RN driven assessment approach to sedation. Ability to manage patients within the targeted sedation range based on their Ramsay Sedation Scale score. Experience with GI and pulmonary procedures such as ERCP, EUS, EGD, and Colonoscopy. Experience in administering consciousness sedation and airway management. Telemetry testing is required prior to starting. Epic experience is required. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide care for patients during GI and Bronchoscopy procedures. The role includes the administration of sedation and being an integral part of a surgical team that performs multispecialty procedures. The RN will assume overall responsibility for the management of the operating room assigned. Candidates must be comfortable with recovering conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care sedation. Experience in patient monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias is essential. Travelers may be required to float as needed. No local candidates will be accepted. Passing criteria for a telemetry exam must be met within two attempts to secure the position. A cardiac interpretation review course completion will be required for those who do not pass after two attempts.
