Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in endoscopy License: Current RN License eligible for licensure in the state Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only Must-Have Skills/Experience: Procedure room documentation Procedure room tools and turnover Ability to admit, recover, and provide moderate/conscious sedation Description: Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups. Includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments. Optimizes patient care and comfort. Functions within the established guidelines of nursing practice. Adheres to the goals and philosophy of the organization. Follows the applicable Nurse Practice Act and Code of Professional Ethics. Performs related duties as assigned. Has basic dysrhythmia knowledge. Good communication skills are essential. Ability to work closely with physicians and other staff. Skills to work with delicate instruments are required. Meets unit-specific physical demands. Able to work different schedules, shifts, and days of the week. Must be able to lift, push, and move heavy equipment. Experience working with fluoroscopy is necessary. Physical demands include pushing, pulling, gripping, and pinching.
