Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights (7:00 PM – 8:00 AM) | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | May be required to take call and float between campuses

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice
  • Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient plans of care, including physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs
  • Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments while accurately documenting care, assessments, interventions, and patient responses
  • Conduct holistic, ongoing patient assessments and evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness, educational needs, and necessary changes
  • Educate patients, families, and significant others on relevant health information in a timely manner
  • Communicate and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team while maintaining a clean and safe environment in accordance with hospital and unit policies
Required Qualifications
  • Active Washington State RN license or Compact RN license
  • Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
  • Ability to function consistently within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice
  • Willingness to float as a sitter and rotate between campuses as needed
  • Ability to take call as required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience in an emergency room or acute care setting
  • Familiarity with evidence-based procedures and current clinical workflows in an ER environment
