Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department serving newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
- Manage and treat common emergency diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
- Operate specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun devices
- Work across a 64-bed unit encompassing triage, acute care, super track, trauma, clinical decision, and psychiatric areas
- Float to other units as required
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities when needed
Required Qualifications- Active New York State Registered Nurse license (verified via NURSYS)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience, including some pediatric experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS
- TNCC certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills- Charge nurse experience or demonstrated charge capability
- Experience with block scheduling environments in high-acuity emergency settings
- Familiarity with stroke, trauma, and cardiac arrest protocols
