Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department
LocationTucson, Arizona
Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 Weeks) | Travel | Full-Time | Onsite | Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 3x12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of emergency patient care
- Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
- Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and adherence to department standards
- Float to other units as needed to support staffing requirements
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Experience in a Trauma Level III, Stroke Receiving, and STEMI Receiving facility environment
- Willingness to float to other units as required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Charge Nurse experience in an Emergency Department setting
- NIH Stroke Scale certification or familiarity (recommended but not required)
- Experience working in a high-volume Emergency Department with 38 or more beds
