Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in the anticipation and planning for safe patient care delivery
- Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
- Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
- Float to other units as needed
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Arizona or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR required
- Experience in a Trauma Level III, Stroke Receiving, and STEMI Receiving environment
- Willingness to float to other units as assigned
- Ability to start within 2 weeks of offer acceptance
Preferred Experience / Skills- Charge Nurse experience in an Emergency Department setting
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (recommended but not required)
