Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics
- Assess, triage, and treat patients presenting with a wide variety of complaints in a fast-paced emergency department
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic and communicate effectively using SBAR methodology
- Administer and manage medications utilizing Pyxis dispensing system
- Work within a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio across a 14-room, 17-bed unit with an average daily volume of 60 patients
- Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
Required Qualifications- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR is required
- Ability to work every other weekend as scheduled
- Willingness to work applicable major holidays falling within the assignment period per holiday policy
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a high-volume emergency department setting
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems and SBAR communication framework
- Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency room specialty
