    Job Title

    Travel RN – Emergency Department

    Location

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Utilize the nursing process to perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
    • Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
    • Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
    • Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality
    • Function within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice and the Missouri Nurse Practice Act
    • Perform physical care duties including lifting, pushing, and repositioning patients as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Current RN license; must be eligible for or currently licensed in the state of Missouri
    • Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility, or minimum 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility; experience level must be indicated on resume
    • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
    • TNCC certification required
    • NIHSS certification required prior to start date (submissions accepted without, but must be obtained before beginning assignment)
    • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with trauma and pediatric emergency patients
    • High-acuity experience in a high-volume environment (200+ patients per day)
    • Familiarity with EPIC EMR
    • Determined, decisive, and flexible personality well-suited to a busy urban trauma environment
