Schedule / Job TypeContract | Onsite | Mid/Evening Shift (12-hour shifts, 36/48 hours per week) | Start times: 12pm, 2pm, or 4pm
Key Responsibilities- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff within the Emergency Room setting
- Coordinate patient care with other clinical disciplines to ensure comprehensive and continuous care
- Apply critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment in fast-paced emergency care situations
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using electronic health record systems
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor
- Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM), TEAM-A, or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Previous acute care facility experience
- Strong proficiency with Cerner and EPIC electronic health record systems
