Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | 36-hour weekly guarantee

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a 30-room Emergency Department, including a six-room observation unit and six fast track beds
  • Manage and triage a high-volume department averaging 100 patients per day, including trauma, cardiac, and neurological cases
  • Operate within a Level IV Trauma Center environment, maintaining patient safety and quality care standards
  • Utilize Allscripts Sunrise EMR and Omnicell medication system for documentation and medication administration
  • Collaborate with support staff including technicians during peak hours and interdisciplinary team members
  • Monitor patients in dedicated seclusion and monitored rooms as clinically indicated
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current NIHSS certification
  • Current PALS and TNCC certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience in a high-volume emergency department setting
  • Familiarity with Allscripts Sunrise EMR and Omnicell medication systems
  • Experience with trauma, cardiac, and neurological patient populations
