    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department serving all patient populations, including a dedicated pediatric pod and an Acute Mental Health area
    • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, accurate clinical documentation, and ongoing monitoring including cardiac monitoring and EKG interpretation
    • Perform IV insertion, phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, and splinting as required
    • Deliver patient and family education throughout the care continuum
    • Maintain a 1:4 clinician-to-patient ratio in a high-volume environment averaging approximately 230 visits per day
    • Float to other areas within the department as needed and document care using EPIC – ASAP EMR
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Massachusetts or compact eligibility
    • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
    • Current AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
    • Proficiency in general ED nursing skills including assessment, IV therapy, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, and patient education
    • Ability to rotate shifts (7a–7p, 11a–11p, and 7p–7a) when requested and work every other weekend
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
    • Prior experience with EPIC – ASAP EMR system
