Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients in an emergency department setting in accordance with prescribed and delegated medical regimens and facility policies
- Deliver clinically competent nursing care to the general patient population with minimal guidance, based on identified principles and standards of care
- Practice nursing within the scope of the North Carolina Nursing Practice Act and remain accountable to the North Carolina Board of Nursing
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans for emergency department patients, including those with COVID-19
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
Required Qualifications- Graduate of an approved nursing program
- Current Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a compact state
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
- Current AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
- Prior emergency department nursing experience
