Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state practice acts.
- Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care; develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care including patient and family instruction.
- Document care according to established standards and maintain accurate clinical records.
- Apply critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, escalating concerns appropriately through the chain of command.
- Participate in department performance improvement activities, unit practice decisions, shared governance, and peer review processes.
Required Qualifications- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Current PALS certification.
- NIHSS certification.
- TNCC or TNS certification required.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience working in a high-volume emergency room setting.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical expertise and guidance across units in support of longitudinal patient care plans.
