Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department and Trauma unit serving approximately 250–300 patients per day
  • Manage a patient assignment at a 1:4 ratio across acute and subacute care areas
  • Monitor patients using telemetry equipment and interpret cardiac strips as needed
  • Perform and maintain competency in sterile field procedures including Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion
  • Participate in unit float coverage across multiple emergency department locations as directed
  • Complete required orientation activities including SIMs Lab skills assessments and pass/fail competency evaluations
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN licensure in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience
  • At least 6 months of Trauma Level 1 experience required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (ENPC is not an accepted substitute for PALS)
  • Proficiency with Cerner EMR
  • Must possess own reliable transportation; personal vehicle required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • TNCC and/or ATCN certification preferred
  • Experience with high-acuity patient populations including trauma, cardiac, spinal cord, and psychiatric holds
  • Familiarity with Phillips telemetry monitoring systems
