    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

    Location

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department serving patients ranging from newborns to elderly across a wide spectrum of acuity levels
    • Manage and titrate a variety of critical drips including vasopressors, cardiac drips, and antihypertensive medications
    • Recognize and respond to life-threatening cardiac rhythms using Phillips monitoring equipment; interpret and act on telemetry independently
    • Collaborate with ED physicians, mid-level providers, charge nurses, respiratory therapists, and ED techs to deliver coordinated patient care
    • Draw and collect lab specimens as required; support care of boarder patients and coordinate with ancillary departments
    • Care for stabilized trauma patients transferred from the trauma bay to a pod setting, as directed by the specialized trauma team
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
    • Current ENPC or PALS certification
    • Current TNCC or TNS certification
    • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 prior travel assignment
    • Proficiency with vasopressor and cardiac drip titration and management of critically ill patients
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • SANE RN experience
    • Prior experience working in a teaching hospital environment with resident physicians
    • Familiarity with Phillips telemetry monitoring systems
