Key Responsibilities- Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
- Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
- Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided.
- Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and available resources.
- Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed to effectively manage clinical situations.
Required Qualifications- Active RN license in the state of employment or a valid compact state license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
- Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Emergency Room or related nursing specialty.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting.
