Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Nights | Onsite | 12-Hour Shifts
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a 24-room Emergency Department, including a dedicated trauma/crash room and low-acuity fast track bays, serving a diverse patient population of all ages including pediatrics
- Manage ED patient flow with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3–4, caring for a broad range of presentations including respiratory issues, abdominal pain, chest pain, STEMIs, strokes, walk-in trauma, and farming or outdoor activity injuries
- Administer and monitor common ED drips including conscious sedation; read and interpret telemetry strips independently
- Perform or assist with lab draws, EKGs, and coordination with RT, ED techs, and ancillary staff to support efficient patient throughput
- Care for behavioral health patients in designated secure rooms with appropriate safety protocols in place
- Participate in self-scheduling with every-other-weekend and occasional holiday requirements; occasional floating to nearby ED locations may be required
Required Qualifications- Active RN licensure
- Minimum 1–2 years of Emergency Department experience
- Demonstrated comfort and competency with pediatric patients
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications (all required)
- Ability to manage ED patient flow in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a Trauma Level IV Emergency Department
- Familiarity with STEMI and stroke receiving protocols
- Experience with diverse patient populations including migrant and agricultural communities
