Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (RN – ER)

Contract | Rotating Shift | 36 Hours per Week | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

• Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of emergency patients throughout a designated shift, providing triage, treatment, and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages in an acute care setting
• Prescribe and deliver nursing care based on the nursing process, consistent with the medical plan of care and incorporating input from patients and significant others
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary health care team members to coordinate and optimize patient care delivery
• Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
• Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required at time of hire
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required within 1 year of hire
• Recent EPIC and Cerner EMR experience required; this is an EPIC conversion position

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Acute care facility experience
• Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certifications
