Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00–07:30 | Weekend and holiday rotation required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care to both adult and pediatric patient populations in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting
- Perform telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation, including identification of lethal and complex rhythms
- Float to other units as needed based on departmental staffing requirements
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as scheduled
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
- Minimum two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three (3) years
- BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- TNCC certification required
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
- Must pass a Telemetry competency exam (adult and pediatric) prior to start; passing criteria include 100% identification of lethal rhythms and a minimum score of 80% on both exams
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Magnet-designated or academic medical center environment
- Familiarity with high-volume, high-acuity trauma and referral center workflows
